MacMasters Beach
The Beginning
The community of MacMasters Beach is pleased to welcome visitors to the opening ceremony of the 5 Lands Walk at the Surf Club at the end of Marine Parade.
We'll again host a free breakfast for the first 500 takers, and we'll be hosting a local ethnic community who will display their culture and food.
There's no school at MacMasters beach, but the local pre-schoolers will again perform one of their famous nature-themed dances; so far they've been whales, fire and lorikeets. What will they be in 2012?
And we hope our famous bag-piper will be there to pipe the walkers up the beach.
Program details will be published later.
And of course, the Mayor of Gosford City will be there to open the Walk and the Aboriginal Community will conduct a smoking ceremony to bless the walkers.
