Terrigal Public School

Picture
Terrigal Public School is a dynamic community school focussed on providing our students with the skills, knowledge and capacities to make sense of their world.

Our school community recognises that this is not sufficient. We strive to ignite passion for learning and nurture curiosity. We support our students in their endeavours to contribute to the community. We encourage their talents and quest for fulfilment.

The professionalism and commitment demonstrated by our teachers is the foundation for our positive reputation. Our teachers work collaboratively to provide engaging programs that cater for individual learning styles, cultural backgrounds and values within our student body.

Terrigal Public School has 28 mainstream classes and 3 special education classes and a current school population of 740 students. We have strong links with our local partner High School to support students as they progress into their secondary schooling

Student welfare is a high priority and strategies to achieve this are based around the school rules of "Ready to Learn, Respect Yourself and Respect Others".  A Kidsmatter program, School Chaplain, student leadership system and effective learning support program support students.

Core learning at Terrigal Public School is supported by a strong co-curricula program that includes band, dance, choir, environment club and sporting programs.

The school community takes a great interest in the progress of the school and provides wonderful support to the school's activities. The school community runs the "Family Fun Fair" biennially and this environmentally focused fund-raising event brings the community together in support of the school.
