Yin Class with Luisa
Restoration and connection to the whale migration session
Yin Yoga is a deep practice of holding specific poses for longer periods of time. In doing so, we aim to go beyond the superficial muscular tissue of the body that we use all the time, and instead, open on a far deeper level - into the fascia; (deeper-set tissue) that weaves its way throughout our physical body.
This allows the fascial tubes to invite fluid and hydration to where it’s needed within the body, allowing for more overall health, freedom of movement and flexibility. We intersperse each pose with a full body ‘rebound’, to allow the tissues to reset. Yin yoga allows for deep release to occur on all levels; not only physically, but energetically – through the meridian lines and energy pathways of the body, and also emotionally – allowing us to reflect and go within, feeling our body shift and change, observing our breathing and practicing the art of surrender to our body, thoughts, feelings and emotions.
Yin yoga sometimes uses props to support you in finding the best functional way of movement to help you release, and our experienced Yin teachers will guide you safely though this hugely beneficial practice, so that you get to know your body (and your Self) on a much greater level.
Yin yoga is a perfect practice to complement your Hatha yoga, or movement-based practices.
Vocal Activation workshop with Alaya Nada
Vocal Activation workshop with Alaya Nada
Guided session for participants to connect to their own voice as an instrument of connection, regulation and expression in honour of the whale migration.
Session Overview This one-hour guided vocal activation session is designed to gently bring participants into connection with their breath, body, and voice through the universal language of sound. Held in honour of the Winter Solstice, a time of reflection, stillness, and inner listening, the session also acknowledges the humpback whale migration along our coastline—an extraordinary expression of communication, intelligence, and frequency in the natural world. Participants will be guided to explore their own voice as an instrument of connection, regulation, and expression, while recognising that all living beings exist within a shared field of vibration.
Concept & Inspiration
Whales communicate across vast distances using complex sound frequencies—tones that travel through the ocean, connecting individuals and pods in ways we are only beginning to understand. Similarly, the human voice is a powerful vibrational tool. Through intentional sound, we can:
• regulate the nervous system
• foster connection within ourselves and with others
• create a shared field of resonance
This session invites participants to experience the idea that: We are not separate—we are all part of a living, resonant field.
Through sound, we honour not only the natural world, but also the rich diversity of human culture —each voice unique, yet all part of a greater harmony.
